Detoxification of Your Body Could Possibly aid in Cancer Prevention.

 I would like to start off by saying, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and detoxifying your body can help boost the fight against cancer.
Dr. Oz had a few episodes discussing symptoms of acid reflux, silent reflux (acid reflux that dose not cause heartburn), bloating and fatigue and it clicked for me that it all could be due to the buildup of toxins in our bodies. The average person has nearly 100 different toxins in their bodies. What do we do about it?
So the good news is that there are numerous ways to detox:
*Organic foods (grown without chemical or pesticides)
*Limiting alcohol, sugar,and caffeine (cause of inflammation in the body)
*Colon cleansing, liquid fasts, protein shakes ( helps reset the immune system.)
*Yoga and meditation (stress reduction can stimulate natural detoxification) 
*Deep breathing exercises assist in cleansing the body of toxins.
*Exercise and strength training ( you already know this works)
*B Vitamins & Betaine ( helps our bodies repair DNA and keep gene on/off switches regulated to avoid cancer)
*Polyphenols ( help promote glutathione production in the body) green tea, garlic, berries, broccoli, avocado, spinach and asparagus
*Glutathione, cystine, glycine and glutamate ( powerful antioxidants that fight free radicals that can cause cancer)
*Magnesium ( the heavy weight of the detox process, activates B vitamins)
You can stimulate the organs of elimination to process and remove toxins from your  body. You can also support your  body in the detoxification process in other ways; herbal and nutritional supplementation, saunas, hot baths with epson salt, and many other healthy, inexpensive ways. And first and foremost, talk with your doctor. This is what you pay him/her for. It's their job and you are the partner in the relationship. You are your own advocate.
Always make a list of the questions you have for your healtcare provider and do not leave the appointment until your concerns have been addressed. Early detection is the key, and the only way for it to happen is if you listen to your body and be specific when you talk with your doctor.
